RuffaloCODY Announces Expansion

Posted 12/17/2009

On December 17, RuffaloCODY, the leading provider of strategic fundraising and enrollment management services, announced plans to add a new office location in Cedar Rapids.  The new office will be located in an existing building at 845 Capital Drive SW and will create 43 new jobs with an average annual salary of $45,000 plus full benefits.

“Although other locations were considered, Cedar Rapids was the best choice for this expansion,” said Al Ruffalo, CEO of RuffaloCODY.  “This is a great community with an unmatched workforce, and we’re extremely pleased to be growing our presence in Cedar Rapids.”

Timing was an important factor in RuffaloCODY’s location decision.

“Due to our rapid growth, our timeline is incredibly tight,” said Mr. Ruffalo.  “We plan to begin hiring for these new positions immediately.”

Collaboration between Priority One, the City of Cedar Rapids, and the Iowa Department of Economic Development ensured the project avoided any unnecessary roadblocks.

“We knew this was going to be a fast-track project,” said Mark Seckman, president of Priority One.  “Our close working relationship with both the City and IDED helped us keep the process streamlined and meet critical deadlines.  Our partners at the city and state level were critical to this project’s success.”

“We’re very pleased to see a company that began in Cedar Rapids continues to grow in our community,” said Cedar Rapids Mayor Kay Halloran.

Priority One assisted Ruffalo by drafting and submitting applications for financial assistance from the city and the state.  Last week, the city approved a matching grant for this project, and this morning, the IDED board approved funding through the Grow Iowa Values Financial Assistance Program.  RuffaloCODY also plans to utilize the Iowa Industrial New Jobs Training program through Kirkwood Community College.
